Honda was the first one to sell a real self-driving car but limited to Japan and 100 cars in 2021. Daimler (with its Mercedes and AMG brands) was the first one to do so for many cars and countries also in 2021. BMW followed in March 2024.
Who will be next to sell SAE level 3 cars?
Restrictions below certain speeds, certain road types, etc are allowed.
Waymo and other level 4/5 companies do not qualify because they do not "sell" cars.

However, "none" is very vague. It only makes sense if "SAE level 3" is somehow declared obsolete?
@marktwse arguably, level 3 would be obsolete once level 4 becomes available at similar costs - why would anyone restrict themselves to level 3 if they can get level 4 for the same price? It's not that I expect a immediate resolution here, it just struck me as a possibility. It's still possible there will be a resolution: Even if there is no market for it, it might be still a prestige thing, especially for non-Western car makers. As in: Look at us, we are able to pull that off.
@MuGoGonzalez The industry mostly agrees that level 3 and level 4 are entirely different businesses. Its the difference between "buying a car" and "renting a taxi". Nobody is going to buy a Waymo car.
